Description
One of the most iconic and mass produced anti-tank weapons of the last 60 years, the Soviet designed rocket-propelled grenade launcher (RPG) was the creation of arms giant NPO Bazalt.
Unlike one shot/disposable or reusable, yet technical anti-tank weapons of the West, the RPG is incredibly easy to operate with limited training and its construction makes it nigh on unbreakable.
It can be fired with four main variants of warhead, predominantly HEAT (High Explosive Anti Tank) style, but also one designed for ground troops, which fragmentates on detonation.
Although originally designed for use in conventional warfare, by troops of the Soviet Union, it inevitably found its way into the hands of irregular/terrorist forces. Be this intentionally via supply to communist/Vietcong forces in Vietnam or Cambodia, or via capture or the black market to groups such as the IRA, Taliban or ISIS to name but a few.
Our example can be fitted with a dummy/rubber warhead for set dressing, with CGI/SFX being required to simulate a projectile in flight.
